Home Team Responsibilities

Pre-game preparation:

1.  Prepare the pitcher’s mound and batter’s box.
2.  Drag the infield.
3.  Water the infield.
4.  Set bases flush with the dirt.
   

Post-game field preparation (after the last game of the day):

1.  Fill, level, (tamp at Mann Park) and water pitcher’s mound and batter’s box areas.
2.  Remove bases and install base plugs.
3.  Drag the infield.
4.  Water the infield dirt sufficiently, ensuring penetration of 3-4 inches, or the field will become too hard. This should take 15-30 minutes, depending on the climate.
5.  Wash the dirt from infield grass edges.
6.  Cover the pitcher’s mound and batters boxes with mats.
7.  Place bases and all field equipment in the field shed and ensure it's locked.

Last Game of the day:

Both teams:

1.  Collect all trash from both sides of the field, the grandstand area, and dugouts.
2.  During field preparation, any unusual circumstances or safety issues must be promptly communicated to the opposing Manager and the Field Coordinator before the game's start. If the issue involves player safety and cannot be resolved, contact a Board Member for assistance.
