Snack Bar Overview

FNLL operates snack bars at Mann Park and Sheldon Park. We rely on the support of our league families to keep them running smoothly.

Volunteer and Connect

Volunteering at the snack bar is not just a requirement—it’s also a great way to meet other families and support the league community. Each family should expect to work 1–2 shifts per player. Families with two players should anticipate 3–4 shifts. The number of shifts depends on total players and games scheduled. Snack bars are closed during Fall Ball.

Opt-Out Fee

If you're unable to volunteer, you may opt out during registration for a $125 per player fee. However, please honor any shifts you're assigned. If a shift is missed, FNLL will hire a teen to cover it, and the fee will be billed to your account. Outstanding balances must be paid before registering for future seasons.

Snack Bar – Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who do I contact to get information about the snack bar duties?
A: Your Team Parent or Coach will share your shift assignments and the For Hire List. You can also contact our Snack Bar Coordinators with questions.

Q: What happens if I can’t make my assigned shift?
A: You can trade with another family or hire someone from the FNLL-approved For Hire List.

Q: How will I know what to do during my shift?
A: A board member or For Hire teen will be present to open the snack bar and assist during your shift.

Q: Do I have to work during my child’s game?
A: Shifts are randomly assigned. If you're scheduled during a game, you may trade or hire a sub.

Q: Can I bring my kids to the snack bar?
A: No. Due to liability, no children under 13 are allowed inside the snack bar.

Q: Can other family members work my shift?
A: Yes. Any adult (18+) can cover your shift, as long as they note the player they are filling in for.

Q: How long are the shifts?
A: Shifts begin 30 minutes before the game and end about 15 minutes after. Most shifts are ~3 hours.
